Women's Basketball Falls at Siena to Begin Three-Game Week
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team stumbled at Siena on Monday night, falling 94-56 at the UHY Center. The Blue Devils would outshoot the Saints from the field in the opening half, but Siena took advantage of a program-record 14 three-pointers on the night to build an insurmountable lead. The game was the first of three in a five-day span for CCSU.
Jessica Farrell led the Blue Devils with 16 points and four steals before fouling out, while Kayla Henry added 11 points.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU scored the first four points before Siena responded by hitting four three-pointers, including a four-point play, to build a 13-8 lead midway through the opening quarter. The Saints' first five field goals were all from the arc and they closed the opening period on a 9-0 run to lead 33-19 after the first quarter.
- Siena scored the opening six points of the second period to extend its run to 15-0. The CCSU deficit grew to 18 before a Kayla Henry layup ended a nearly four-minute scoring drought. The Saints built their largest lead of the period before Central would hold them scoreless for the final 4:10 and outscore them 9-0 to make it 49-32 at halftime.
- The Blue Devils would trim the margin to 15 in the opening minutes of the second half before a 7-0 run by the Saints pushed the lead back to 62-36 midway through the quarter.
- Baskets by Henry and Kiyah Lewis to open the fourth quarter would make it 77-48 with 6:57 remaining, but the Blue Devils would not get any closer. The Saints did not allow a field goal over the final 5:25 of the contest.

- Lucia Noin grabbed a team-high six rebounds for the Blue Devils.

- Siena set a program record with 14 three-pointers in the game.
- The Saints also had a 16-0 edge in second chance points, due to a 22-4 edge in offensive rebounds.
- Siena leads the all-time series, 6-3.
