Strong Showing For Women's Track & Field Saturday
The Blue Devils had 13 top-five finishes
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team were in action on Saturday at the Wagner Invitational.
The Blue Devils performances were highlighted by 13 top-five finishes on Saturday.

TRACK HIGHLIGHTS
- Lillian Tabellione ran 18:01.84 in the 5000m, capturing third place, taking over third place in the final laps of the race
- Nuchwara Inthasit qualified fifth in the 60m dash, running 7.88 during prelims and was faster, 7.84 in the finals, to place fifth
- Maegan Desmarais captured third, moving up three spots in the back half of the mile, running 5:01.08
- Kayla Logan placed fourth in the 400m with a time of 59.53, while Kyrah Smith earned a top-10 finish with a time of 1:01.12
- Kaylee Gravel ran 1:18.31 to place fourth in the 500m, while Sultana Ali ran 1:18.63 to place sixth.
- Rachel Bartolucci earned second in the 800m with a time of 2:19.57, while Desmarais placed fifth in 2:21.41.
- Inthasit earned a top-five finish in the 200m dash, crossing in 25.85.
- Isabelle Mondo placed eighth in the 3000m run, finishing in 10:48.36.
- Inthasit, Logan, Ali, and Smith combined on the 4x400 relay to run 4:03.26, good for second place
- The Blue Devils also captured sixth in the 4x400, with Kaylee Gravel, Mya Morabito, Bartolucci and Oliwia Marecik running 4:09.32
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS
- Ciara Adu-addo jumped 5.67m on her second long jump attempt to finish second, missing the top spot by just .01m
- Payton Lowe's third round effort of 11.38m in the shot put was good for the second longest throw of the event, while Elianna Wallace threw 9.54m to finish eighth
- Tatiana Gaither cleared 2.90m to place second in the pole vault, while Mia Savino was third at 2.75m.
- Madeline Doran placed eighth with a height of 1.48m in the high jump.
