DMR Squad Provides 29th Fastest Division I Time On Day One Of Dr. Sander Scorcher
Desmarais, Marecik, Bartolucci and Tabellione combined to place sixth in the DMR
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team traveled to New York City to take part in the opening day of the Dr. Sander Columbia Scorcher.
The Blue Devils Friday was highlighted by the DMR posting the 29th best time in the nation this season.

Maegan Desmarais ran in the 3000m Invitational, finishing 22nd in a 9:50.69

Sultana Ali ran 1:02.08 to place the 400m squad, finishing 11th, while Alexandra Edwards ran 1:04.37 to finish 18th

Lillian Tabellione crossed the line in 10:18.16 to finish 13th in the open 3000m, with Rebecca Carusone crossing in 21st place after a 10:27.99 effort

Shantana Smith was 20th in the 60m hurdles prelims, at 9.89, with Mimi Agwu (9.92) and Jasmine Oganda (9.93) in 22nd and 23rd

Smith was also the Devils fastest in the 60m, running 8.63, followed a spot later by Isabella Santos in 8.67

The Blue Devils DMR posted the 29th fastest Division I time, 12:31.46, with Desmarais, Oliwia Marecik, Rachel Bartolucci and Tabellione combining to place sixth in the event.
