Morabito, Desmarais Medal At Silfen Invitational

Duo placed second and third in the 1500m

The Central Connecticut State women's track and field teams were in action on Friday night at the Conn College Silfen Invitational.

Location: Silfen Field & Track | New London, CT

Mya Morabito and Maegan Desmarais took silver and bronze in the 1500m. The duo moved up in the middle of the race into those positions and held them through the finish. Morabito crossed in a season-best time of 4:32.63, while Desmarais ran 4:39.54.

Rebecca Carusone was 28th through 2400m of the women's 10000m. She steadily climbed the rankings, and crossed the finish line in fifth place, with a time of 36:59.82, a personal-best.

The Blue Devils are back in action on Saturday travelling to the UMass Commonwealth Invitational.
