Baseball Falls at Stonehill in Series Finale Sunday
The Central Connecticut State baseball team fell, 20-5, to Stonehill in the NEC series finale on Sunday in Easton, MA. CCSU opened the game's scoring, but the Skyhawks responded with six runs in the bottom of the inning to take control of the game and win via the run rule after seven innings.

KEY MOMENTS
- In the top of the first, Chris Barkasy was hit by a pitch and moved to third on a two passed balls. He would score on a two-out single by Antonio Ducatelli to make it 1-0.
- Stonehill would load the bases with one out in the bottom of the inning. With two outs, the Skyhawks took advantage of a miscue and would go on to score six runs in the inning.
- The Blue Devils had their first four batters reach base in the fourth inning. Back-to-back singles by Nick Fox and Brandon O'Neill were followed by a Gabe Pitts double, resulting in a pair of runs to make it 7-4. Ducatelli would triple home two runs in the top of the sixth innings.
- Stonehill would score two runs in the bottom of the of the fourth before batting around in the fifth and sixth innings to push the margin past 10 runs.
NOTES
- Ducatelli went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
- O'Neill finished with two hits I the game and added an RBI.
- Barkasy scored two runs and was 1-for-3.
- Stonehill leads the all-time series, 7-5.
