Baseball Falls to Le Moyne in Season Finale
Jordan and Ducatelli hit back-to-back homeruns for CCSU in the fifth inning.
The Central Connecticut State baseball team had its rally snuffed out against Le Moyne falling, 10-8, on Saturday in NEC action at USJ Baseball Field in West Hartford, CT. The Blue Devils trailed by eight runs in the fifth inning, but would trim the deficit to two runs and load the bases in the ninth before the Dolphins ended the charge.
Louis Jordan hit a homerun and drove in three runs, while Antonio Ducatelli added a homerun as well.
The Blue Devils' season ends, while the Dolphins will play in next weekend's NEC Tournament.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Dolphins opened the game with leadoff hitter Paulie Goodness reaching on a single, stealing second and coming around to score on a single from Jack Cannon for a 1-0 lead.
- Nick Fox led off the home portion of the first with a triple to centerfield and came into score on a Louis Jordan single to left center to tie the game.
- After the Dolphins scored twice in the top of the second, the Blue Devils answered with a run of their own. Matt Graziose worked a one-out walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch, before coming around to score on a Gabe Pitts single up the middle to make it 3-2.
- Le Moyne would push across five runs in the third. Nick Kriegelstein doubled in two runs, while Goodness and Isaac Brozon each drove in a run as well. A run would score on a balk that pushed the Le Moyne lead to 8-2.
- Mike Whelehan and Cooper Romich each drove in a run in the fourth and fifth innings, respectively, to push the Dolphins' lead to 10-2.
- CCSU scored three in the bottom of the fifth, to cut the deficit to 10-5. Gabe Tanous led off with a walk and scored after Jordan homered to centerfield with one out. Antonio Ducatelli followed with a shot down the line that hit the foul pole in left field to mark back-to-back home runs.
- Fox and Jordan walked to lead off the seventh and advanced on a groundout to put runners in scoring position. Frankie Ferrentino followed with a two-run single to make it 10-7.
- Fox led off the ninth with a single and moved to second on a wild pitch. Following a pair of flyouts and two walks to load the bases, Matt Graziose was hit by a pitch to plate a run and keep the bases loaded with two outs. Le Moyne would force a groundball to avoid further damage.

- Jordan hit his team-leading eighth home run of the season, going 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs.
- Fox went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple and three runs scored.
- Ducatelli's homeruns was his fourth of the year.
- Pitts finished with two hits and a stolen base.
- Le Moyne edged ahead in the all-time series, 5-4.
