Jordan Homers but Baseball Falls at FDU
The Central Connecticut State baseball team succumbed to FDt, 6-2, on Saturday in NEC action in Teaneck, NJ. The teams were deadlocked through five innings before the Knights took control.
Louis Jordan had two hits and clubbed his fifth homerun of the season.

KEY MOMENTS
- In the top of the first inning, Louis Jordan hit a one-out homerun to centerfield to make it 1-0.
- FDU tied the game in the second inning with a solo homerun by Nick Quagliato.
- CCSU reclaimed a momentary lead with a run in the sixth inning. Ryan Scialabba led off with a double and moved to third on a single by Jordan. With runners on the corners, Antonio Ducatelli singled to right and drove in Scialabba.
- In the bottom of the inning, FDU pushed across five runs. The first two runners reached safely and would move to second and third on steals, before a groundout by Quagliato pushed across the first run of the frame. Caleb Walker followed with a two-run homerun to make it 4-2. After a one-out single, Hunter Ray hit a two-run homer to push the lead to 6-2.
NOTES
- Jordan went 2-for-4 in the game with a run and RBI.
- Scialabba went 1-for-2 with a run.
- Ducatelli was 1-for-1 and drew three walks.
- CCSU was limited to four singles other than Jordan's homerun and Scialabba's double.
- Nick Fox and Matt Graziose had singles.
- Jacob Hines started and recorded four strikeouts over 5.2 innings.
- CCSU is 66-32 against FDU all-time but had a five-game win streak in the series ended.
