Budge 1500 Victory Highlights Silfen Invitational For Distance Runners

Budge has top 1500m time in the NEC

The Central Connecticut State distance group was in action Friday evening at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College in New London, CT on Friday.

CCSU will be back in action at the Wilton Wright Invitational at SCSU on Saturday.

Aiden Budge dominated the 1500m, with a winning time of 3:50.42, a personal-best in the event and lowered his NEC leading time this season
Yankarlos Diaz took second in the 5000m, with a run of 14:35.01, with Eddie Nicholas in third place, 3.5 seconds in back of his teammate
Brendan Mellitt finished ninth in the 5000, running 14:53.72
