Men's Track & Field At IC4A/ECAC And Princeton Last Chance on Saturday

Figueiredo just misses resetting school 400m record

The Central Connecticut State men's track and field team was in action on Saturday at two events. The Blue Devils had four student-athletes competing at both the IC4A/ECAC Championships and the Princeton Last Chance.

The next event on the Blue Devils schedule is the NCAA East Regional. The qualifiers for that event will be unveiled on Wednesday.

IC4A/ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

Kyle Wimbish cleared 1.95m in the high jump, good for fifth place
Tristan Smith placed eighth in the shot put, throwing 14.77m
Nicholas Xavier placed 10^th in the hammer throw, with a 48.65m effort
Alex Herron finished 21^st in the javelin, throwing 47.98 on his first attempt

PRINCETON LAST CHANCE MEET RESULTS

Lucas Figueiredo ran 46.94, taking bronze in the 400m and just off his school record mark of 46.88
Noah Colangelo ran 47.80 to place ninth in the 400m
Eddie Nicholas finished 11^th in the 3000m steeplechase, running 9:08.12 Saturday evening
