Winkler will compete in the javelin on Wednesday, May 28th in the field of 48 competitors. Winkler, the school record holder in the javelin, is the 10th seed in the event. Each competitor will have three attempts, and the top 12 finishers will advance to the NCAA Track and Field Championships.
The NCAA Track and Field Championships are hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field. The javelin final will be contested on Wednesday, June 11th.
