Cino Named NEC Softball Player of the Week; Teal, Warn Prime Performers
Central Connecticut State senior shortstop Ava Cino took home NEC Player of the Week for the second straight week it was announced Tuesday. Cino also earned NEC Prime Performer, along with Joslyn Teal and Skylar Warn.
Cino hit .769 in four games last week, while slugging an eye-popping 1.154 on the week and posting a .733 on-base percentage. She had five RBIs, three runs scored and a pair of doubles, while helping CCSU to a pair of wins over second-place LIU.
Teal hit .636 with five runs, a pair of doubles and three RBIs for the Blue Devils. Warn batted .444 with three runs and three RBIs, while posting a .600 on-base percentage.
The Blue Devils will host Sacred Heart for a doubleheader on Saturday.
