Swimming And Diving Tabbed As Preseason NEC Favorites
The Blue Devils have won three consecutive NEC Championships
The Central Connecticut State swimming and diving team was tabbed as the favorite to win the 2026 NEC Swimming and Diving Championship, in a poll of the leagues head coaches announced on Thursday. The Blue Devils have won three consecutive NEC Championships and a league-best nine crowns all-time.

The Blue Devils picked up four of the seven first-place votes in the poll, with Howard earning the other three top votes, to be predicted as the runner-up. Wagner was tabbed third, followed by Saint Francis, LIU, Stonehill and Le Moyne. The 2026 NEC Championship will once again be held at the Spire Institute in Geneva, OH. The four-day meet will run February 17th through February 20th.
CCSU begins its 2025-26 season this Sunday when it hosts the CCSU Open Water Festival. The Blue Devils then hit the road on Septembert 25th for a meet at Army West Point.
