Men's Basketball Opens NEC Tournament Against Le Moyne Wednesday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team begins its quest for the 2025 Northeast Conference Tournament on Wednesday night. CCSU hosts Le Moyne in Detrick Gymnasium at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. The game will stream live on NECFrontRow.

The Blue Devils and Dolphins will be meeting for the 13th time. Le Moyne is 7-5 in the series, but CCSU won both regular season meetings.
OPENING NOTES
• Central Connecticut hosts Le Moyne in the Northeast Conference Tournament Quarterfinals on Wednesday. The teams will be meeting in the postseason for the first time.
• Patrick Sellers has led his alma mater to back-to-back NEC regular season crowns, along with, consecutive 20-win seasons for the first time in its Division I history.
• The NEC Tournament Semifinals will be played Saturday and broadcast on ESPN+.
WITH A WIN WEDNESDAY ...
• CCSU would win its 13th straight game for the 1st time since Jan. 10-March 6, 2002 (19).
• Central would improve to 24-6 on the year, its most wins since 2001-02 (27-5).
• CCSU would advance to the NEC Tournament semifinals for the 2nd straight season.

• Central has posted 20+ wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in its Division I history. The Blue Devils last accomplished the feat in 1982-83 (21-9) and 1983-84 (26-6).
• Central's 12-game win streak is currently THE LONGEST in the country.
• CCSU is committing just 11.0 fouls per game, which is tied for 1st nationally (Creighton, 11.0). The Blue Devils will shatter the NEC mark of 13.0 (Monmouth, 1989-90).
• The Blue Devils won their 9th straight road game on March 3, the 2nd-longest current streak in the nation (Houston, 13). CCSU is tied with UC Irvine for the most road wins (12) this season.
• CCSU leads the NEC in offensive efficiency (107.6) AND defensive efficiency (97.2).
• In NEC play, Central is limiting opponents to just 9.1 foul shots per game - no other team in the league allows opponents to shoot fewer that 15.5 foul shots per game.
• In its 22 wins, Central has led for 763:21 while trailing for just 178:03.
• Central is an efficient offensive team. Inside the 3-point arc, CCSU is shooting 55.5% (596-of-1073) from in all games. In conference play, Central is 329-of-602 (.547).
• When scoring 70+ points under Patrick Sellers, CCSU is 51-13 (.797) overall in four seasons, including a 14-0 mark during the 2024-25 season.
