Men's Basketball Hosts FDU in NEC Tournament Semifinal
For the second straight season, the Central Connecticut men's basketball team will play in the Northeast Conference Tournament semifinals. The top-seeded Blue Devils will tip off against fourth-seeded FDU on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.. The game will be shown live on ESPN+ and NEC Front Row. Tickets are on sale now.

The Blue Devils and Knights will meet for the 59th time. CCSU has won the past five matchups, but FDU is 30-28 all-time in the series.

• Central would improve to 25-6 on the year, its most wins since 2001-02 (27-5).
• CCSU would advance to the NEC Tournament championship for the first time since 2006-07.

• Central has posted 20+ wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in its Division I history. The Blue Devils last accomplished the feat in 1982-83 (21-9) and 1983-84 (26-6).
• Central's 13-game win streak is currently THE LONGEST in the country.
• CCSU is committing just 11.1 fouls per game, which is 2nd nationally (Creighton, 10.9). The Blue Devils will shatter the NEC mark of 13.0 (Monmouth, 1989-90).
• The Blue Devils won their 9th straight road game on March 3, the 2nd-longest current streak in the nation (Houston, 13). CCSU is tied with UC Irvine for the most road wins (12) this season.
• Overall, CCSU leads the NEC in offensive efficiency (111.6) AND defensive efficiency (96.4).
• Central is limiting opponents to just 10.6 foul shots per game - no other team in the league allows opponents to shoot fewer that 16.6 foul shots per game.
• In its 22 wins, Central has led for 800:26 while trailing for just 178:54.
• Central is an efficient offensive team, in all games, from inside the 3-point arc, CCSU is shooting 55.6% (614-of-1105). In conference play, Central went 329-of-602 (.547).
• When scoring 70+ points under Patrick Sellers, CCSU is 52-13 (.800) overall in four seasons, including a 14-0 mark during the 2024-25 season.
• Since 2021-22, CCSU has won 7 straight 1-point games (Jan. 21, 2022, 67-68 loss at SFU).
