Men's Basketball Hosts Saint Francis U in NEC Championship on Tuesday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team will be hosting the Northeast Conference Tournament championship in Detrick Gymnasium for the first time since 2007 on Tuesday night. The top-seeded Blue Devils will tip off against third-seeded Saint Franics U at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN2.

The Blue Devils and Red Flash will be meeting for the 58th time in the series history. The teams are 1-1 against each other in the NEC Tournament.

• Central has posted 20+ wins in consecutive seasons for the first time in its Division I history. The Blue Devils last accomplished the feat in 1982-83 (21-9) and 1983-84 (26-6).
• Central's 14-game win streak is currently THE LONGEST in the country.
• CCSU is committing just 11.3 fouls per game, which is 2nd nationally (Creighton, 10.8). The Blue Devils will shatter the NEC mark of 13.0 (Monmouth, 1989-90).
• The Blue Devils won their 9th straight road game on March 3, the 2nd-longest current streak in the nation (Houston, 13). CCSU is 2nd for the most road wins (12) this season (UC Irvine, 14).
• Overall, CCSU leads the NEC in offensive efficiency (108.3) AND defensive efficiency (97.5).
• In its 25 wins, Central has led for 851:59 while trailing for just 171:48.
• Central is an efficient offensive team, in all games, from inside the 3-point arc, CCSU is shooting 55.6% (630-of-1134). In conference play, Central went 329-of-602 (.547).
• When scoring 70+ points under Patrick Sellers, CCSU is 53-13 (.803) overall in four seasons, including a 15-0 mark during the 2024-25 season.
• Since 2021-22, CCSU has won 7 straight 1-point games (Jan. 21, 2022, 67-68 loss at SFU).
