KEY MOMENTS
- In the opening set, Stony Brook never trailed and built a 7-2 lead, forcing a Blue Devils timeout. Central would get within 10-8 after back to back kills from Weronika Poczynek, a block by Anja Milosevic and Breanna Ginley and a Milosevic kill. That would be as close as CCSU got as SBU would go ahead 21-11 and then score the final four points of the set.
- CCSU fell behind 11-1 in the second set and were unable to collect back-to-back points until midway through the frame. A pair of kills by Poczynek around a block by Ginley would make it 22-12, but that was as close as Central got.
- Central would take its first lead of the match in the third frame and was tied at 7-7 following a kill by Poczynek. SBU edged ahead with three straight points to build a cushion it would not give up. A kill by Olivia Keckler got CCSU within, 16-12, but that was as close as the set would be before SBU closed it the frame.
