Volleyball Sweeps Le Moyne on Friday
The Central Connecticut volleyball team opened its weekend with a three-set sweep at Le Moyne in NEC action on Friday. The Blue Devils hit .384 as a team and committed just two receiving errors in the match.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils scored the first three points of the opening set and led wire-to-wire. Breanna Ginley had two aces, including one to make it 10-3 CCSU and forced a time out by Le Moyne. Three straight kills by Weronika Poczynek, Aubrey Stitcher and Olivia Keckler would make it 20-10. After a timeout by the Dolphins to break the string, Stitcher closed the set with back-to-back kills.
- Le Moyne would lead in the second set, 6-3, before two kills by Keckler, and another Amanda Tokam tied the score at 10. The Blue Devils would take advantage of four Dolphins errors to forge ahead, 17-13, and force a timeout. CCSU would not allow back-to-back points by Le Moyne before a kill by Ginley gave them a two-set lead.
- In the third set, Keckler would tie the set, 5-5, with a kill and Central would not trail again. Anja Milosevic served an ace to put CCSU ahead 14-8. A pair of aces by Ginley pushed the lead to 18-11 before Le Moyne got back within, 22-19. The match would end on a Le Moyne error to give CCSU the win.

3 – Central won its first NEC match in three sets since sweeping Merrimack on November 10, 2023.
NOTES
- Keckler led CCSU with 12 kills and added three aces.
- Poczynek hit .296 and had 11 kills.
- Milosevic had 38 assists and eight digs.
- CCSU combined for 10 aces, led by Ginley who had four. She added eight kills.
- CCSU is 4-2 all-time against Le Moyne.
