Volleyball Has Win Streak Stopped by LIU on Friday
The Central Connecticut volleyball team fell in three sets against LIU in NEC action on Friday night in New Britain. The Blue Devils had their three match win streak come to an end against the Sharks, who are unbeaten in league play.

KEY MOMENTS
- LIU built a 6-3 lead to open the first set, but CCSU would score four straight points to take a lead following an ace by Breanna Ginley. After a kill by Olivia Keckler got Central within, 14-13, the Sharks would score six straight points to take control of the set. Amanda Tokam and Keckler would collect back-to-back kills to make it 20-15, but LIU closed the set with five straight points.
- CCSU would take a 9-7 lead in the second set, following four unanswered points to force an LIU timeout. The Sharks would eventually recover to go ahead 17-13 before CCSU cut the deficit to one point after a kill by Weronika Poczynek. The Sharks would maintain the lead and held off the Blue Devils to win the set, 25-20.
- Central built a 11-6 lead in the third frame following a kill by Keckler. The Sharks would tie the set at 14-all before going ahead 16-13. The Blue Devils would have a kill by Anja Milosevic and an ace by Breanna Ginley to get within, 21-18, but the Sharks closed the match with a 4-2 run.

- Poczynek had a match-high 11 kills to go with seven digs and two blocks.
- Keckler had 10 kills, three digs and two blocks.
