Volleyball Falls to Fairfield on Friday
The Central Connecticut volleyball team was defeated in straight sets on Friday night against Fairfield. The Blue Devils were limited to a .105 attack percentage as the Stags collected 11 blocks as a team.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU was forced into a timeout early in the opening set as Fairfield went out to a 6-2 lead, which stretched to 10-4. A kill by Olivia Keckler and a block by Amanda Tokam and Anja Milosevic would pull CCSU within four points, but that was as close as the opening set would get before the Stags closed out the opening set.
- In the second set, a run of four points that featured back-to-back kills by Keckler and another by Tokam put CCSU ahead, 7-5. Fairfield would bounce back with four straight points to regain the lead before stretching the lead to 13-9. After a kill by Keckler made it 13-10, Fairfield would build a 19-12 margin and force a Blue Devils timeout. The Stags would win the set, 25-16.
- A kill by Aubrey Stitcher gave CCSU an early lead, 3-2, in the third frame, but Fairfield had a run of five straight points to take the lead for good. CCSU managed to get within, 9-8, with kills from Milosevic and Breanna Ginley sandwiched around a Tokam ace, but Fairfield would push its lead out to 15-9 and CCSU got no closer the rest of the way.

- Keckler had a team-high 10 kills for CCSU and added seven digs.
- Milosevic had 20 assists, nine digs and six kills.
- Annabelle Denommé had eight digs, eight assists and an ace.
- Weronika Poczynek and Aubrey Stitcher each added seven kills.
- Central is 11-13 against Fairfield.
