Volleyball Falls at Seton Hall in Sunday Finale at Seton Hall Classic
The Central Connecticut volleyball team fell to Seton Hall, 3-0, on Sunday in the final match of the Seton Hall Classic. Breanna Ginley represented CCSU on the All-Tournament Team.

KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils scored the first two points of the set and would tie the score in the first frame at, 10-10, following a kill by Aubrey Stitcher and a SHU error. The Pirates would respond by scoring five of the next six points to build a lead it would not surrender before winning the set, 25-19.
- The second set featured nine ties and three lead changes. A kill by Olivia Keckler would give CCSU an 8-7 lead. Although the Pirates would retake the lead, Central kept the score close and was within, 22-19, after a kill by Keckler. The Pirates would close out the set with a 3-1 spurt to go ahead 2-0 in the match.
- The Blue Devils did not lead in third set, but they would make the score 13-10 following a kill by Amanda Tokam. Central would cut the deficit to two points after an ace by Anja Milosevic before SHU scored back-to-back points to make it 19-15. After an SHU error, Gabriella Burdier served up an ace to fend off match point before the Pirates closed the match on a kill.
NUMBER TO KNOW
.938 – Central had just four reception errors in 60 opportunities on Sunday. Burdier handled 14 without an error.
NOTES
- Ginley hit a team-best .378 and averaged 1.74 kills/set on the weekend. She added four blocks in the three matches.
- Keckler led the Blue Devils with 14 kills and added seven digs.
- Milosevic had a double-double with 30 assists and 11 digs.
- CCSU had 53 digs as a team, compared to 46 for Seton Hall. Central had 39 kills, while SHU had 44.
- Seton Hall is 14--1 all-time against the Blue Devils.
