Volleyball Wins NEC Contest at Chicago State on Friday
The Central Connecticut volleyball team went on the road to Chicago State and won, 3-1, on Friday night in NEC action. The Blue Devils had three players with double-digit kills and limited the Cougars to just .060 hitting percentage.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU trailed 4-1 in the opening set before three straight errors by the Cougars sparked a run of four straight points. The Blue Devils would eventually edge ahead, 8-6, after a kill by Aubrey Stitcher. Central fell behind, 13-10, before rolling off five straight points to take the lead for good enroute to a first-set win.
- Chicago State rolled out to a 10-3 lead to open the second set and led wire-to-wire. Consecutive blocks by Amanda Tokam, with an assist from Olivia Keckler, got the Blue Devils within, 18-14, but CSU closed out the set with back-to-back kills to tie the match.
- Central grabbed control of the third set with three straight points, sparked by an ace from Keckler before a kill by Stitcher made it 11-8. The Cougars would cut the deficit to, 14-13, but CCSU would maintain the lead and scored six straight points, including three aces by Gabriella Burdier, to go ahead, 21-14. Stitcher's fifth kill of the set gave CCSU a 2-1 lead in the match.
- Anja Milosevic served four straight points and CCSU opened a 5-0 lead in the fourth frame. The Cougars got within, 6-4, but the Blue Devils quickly built the lead back to 18-10. Central would close the match with a kill by Tokam.
