Volleyball Rallies to Win in Five at Stonehill
For the second match in a row, the Central Connecticut volleyball team rallied for a 3-2 win, defeating Stonehill on Wednesday in NEC action. The Blue Devils were led by Weronika Poczynek's 15 kills, while Olivia Keckler had 10 digs, with nine kills and four blocks.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU would fall in the opening set and after going ahead, 3-2, the Skyhawks took the lead for good with three straight points. Central led, 11-10, in the second set before Stonehill took control with a six-point run and went up 2-0 in the match.
- The Blue Devils bounced back in the third set and capped a run of five points to go up 5-1 after a kill by Keckler. After Stonehill rallied to within, 14-12, a kill by Breanna Ginley kickstarted a three-point spurt to push the lead back to 17-12. The Blue Devils did not commit an attack error in the set, hitting .664, and extended the match following a Stonehill error.
- Central trailed, 6-2, to begin the fourth set before tying the score after a Gabriella Burdier ace. Back-to-back aces by Annabelle Denommé put CCSU ahead, 15-11, and cap a four-point run. A kill by Aubrey Stitcher would close out the set and force a fifth set.
- In the fifth set, a successful challenge by CCSU would result in the score going to 4-4. The teams would go back-and-forth until a pair of kills by Amanda Tokam were sandwiched around a pair by Poczynek and made it 12-9. Back-to-back aces by Molly Thomas set up match point before a block by Tokam and Anja Milosevic capped the rally.
